What a summer!

For the past several weeks I have been visiting family all over the place! We have been to Billings, Montana; Jackson, Wyoming; Yellowstone, Wyoming; Kaysville, Utah; St. George, Utah; Las Vegas, Nevada; and Gurney, Illinois. This was accomplished by myself (with the girlies in tow) in just under three weeks. We had 5 flights, two 10 hour drives, one 5 hour drive, and one 1 1/2 hour drive. I never really had any time update this blog... Since things are slowing down around here I will be updating this blog more often....

Maddy update:

She is really turning into a little girl. She LOVES Laila and they are playing together much better. She loves showing Laila how to do things (like sliding down the stairs, talking, going potty on the toilet, etc.). She is very helpful and loves doing chores (yay!). She loves crafting (like momma) and can sit for almost an hour when she has a project (again, YAY!). She loves singing and dancing, she will often stop in department stores to dance (really, that girl has some AWESOME moves :) to the music. She loves going on "daddy-mommy-maddy-laila-daughter-dates" and is just about as cute as can be. She does, however, cry at the drop of a hat for a lot of unnecessary things... we have had to talk about what things are ok to cry about and which ones will land you in a time-out... lol.

Laila update:

I must say, one year olds are really precious. She is so sweet and loves giving kisses and hugs to Dan, Maddy, and me. She is also very strong-willed, she does something and over-and-over-and-over again despite being told no a thousand times. She also gives me a very devious smile and giggle when she is disobediant (which is really hard not to laugh because she looks so darn cute). She is running all over the place, she is very brave and loves climbing all over the place. She is also a big reader, she will sit down and "read" a book for 15-20 minutes, what one year old does that? (Ok, maybe a lot do, but I think it is soooo cute!) She has also adopted Maddy's famous silly look (do you remember that?).
