I am back!

I took a little blogging hiatus; I am back and caught up so maybe the blogging task won't seem so daunting. Laila is getting so big. She is almost 9 months old! Where has the time gone? She is able to stand up while holding onto something, maintain a crawling position (going nowhere), and her ooh's and ahh's are changing into babbling. She is a totally different baby now but I am loving every minute. P.S. she also sleeps through the night! A full 12 hours! (unless sick, teething, or otherwise afflicted...) 7 1/2 months of sleep-deprivation are over! Thank goodness!

Bath-time is one of Laila and Maddy's favorite pass-times. Laila laughs at nearly everything that Maddy does. Laila LOVES Maddy. When Maddy enters a room, Laila begins bouncing up and down with excitement. Bath-time is no exception.

I have been crafting a lot. I crocheted two hats, some headbands, a dress for Laila, and I made travel highchairs. They are really adorable

Here is the travel highchair. The back of it attaches through the back of the chair. Then wraps around the child and velcros in the front. Then the flap goes over the velcro so the child can't undo the velcro.

Front of the dress.

Back of the dress. I placed two enamel buttons on the back. So cute!

We went to a birthday party at Chuck-E-Cheese. Madelyn talked about it for days afterwards.

Madelyn had a great time getting ready for Valentines Day. She colored all of her friends cards and was very meticulous about it. I love her!

Valentines day was nothing but adorable. Sheldon was Madelyn's valentine. They spent the entire party with each other. Side Note: The other day Madelyn was really sad, she was crying and walking toward me (or so I thought). I held out my arms to her and offered an embrace. Two feet before entering my arms she changed her trajectory and landed herself in Sheldon's arms, where she placed her head on his shoulder and cried. He sat there and comforted her for about 15 seconds. Then she was all better and they ran off giggling.

The Valentines Day party was spectacular. There were mailboxes for every child, a face-painter, little toys cars for the kids and a town to drive them on, cookie decorating station, stamping station, etc. My girls both had a great time.

Checking herself out after a amazing face-painter got a hold of her.

I just had to get Laila's head painted too.

Laila loved playing on the fake town (Maddy and Sheldon are in the upper left corner of this photo).

Laila can be a great little snuggle-er. I love that about her.

As mentioned, she had learned how to stand. She does not, however, know how to get down by herself. I always have to be there ready to catch her. She really likes standing, she looks at Maddy and gets really excited, it is like she is saying, "look Maddy, look what I can do!"

Madelyn loved going through all of her loot and eating her Valentine's day treats.

Laila had her own take on eating Valentine's day treats, of course.

Oh my goodness - I almost started crying when I saw the Sheldon/Maddy kissing picture - that is the CUTEST! And I forgot about that story already, I'll have to get that picture from you and blog about it.

Fun post! That dress is just as cute in person as it is in those pictures! Love it all!
