Laila and I were discharged from the hospital today. It was fun to bring her home to see Maddy. Maddy was very standoffish for a few minutes but she warmed up pretty quickly. I think that she might have been afraid I was going to leave again. Laila is an amazing baby! She rarely cries, so hopefully she is going to take after Maddy in that respect.
Maddy really likes holding Laila. It is really cute. She will come up to me and say, "hold it?" or "hold baby sister?" Then she will run to the couch in anticipation. She will also ask to give baby sister a hug, "hug?"

Maddy was extremely hyper at the hospital. She was trying to do anything that might impress us and make us laugh. She was coloring, playing hide and seek, singing her alphabet... It was like she was saying, "Don't forget about me! Look at what I can do! Look at how clever I am!"

congrats I really like the name, WE have a neice named Leyla too, but they spell it like I did. Anyway you look great and I'm glad that Maddy is such a little mommy already, she'll be the best helper! What a great size!
