At 28 weeks we discovered that baby #2 wants to be just like her big sister - she was breech. Though it is not uncommon for babies to be breech at 28 weeks, it seemed like more than a coincidence for me because of Madelyn's position. The midwives told me that if she stayed breech it was most likely because of my anatomy (perhaps a heart-shaped uterus or my pelvic bone is uncomfortable for the babies, etc). So came the waiting game...
Week 29 - still breech. Week 30 - still breech. Week 31 - still breech. Week 32 - still breech. Week 33 - still breech.
This last Monday I was in a lot of pain. I was having contraction on top of contraction and my lower back was hurting so bad. I knew I wasn't in labor because the contractions were not regular and the back pain was not typical for labor. Still, I was so uncomfortable. The next day, however, the pain was completely gone and I felt like there was a lot more space near my rib-cage. I even started to feel strong kicks near my rib-cage. On Friday, I had another OB appointment. I was told that she flipped head down. I told the midwife about the pain I was having on Monday and she said that it could have been from the baby flipping. Who knew that it could be sooo uncomfortable?
I am still trying not to be excited about this. Madelyn turned to the breech position between 35-36 weeks. I am only 34 weeks and I am not getting my hopes up. But, as of right now I am on track to have a v-bac (which I desperately want). Let's keep our fingers crossed!

I hope you get the vbac. It will be easier to recover from especially with another child to care for. best of luck
That's good news, even if there is still a possibility of her flipping again. Hopefully she won't. I'm excited for you guys, and I'll admit it, for myself to have a new niece!
That's great news! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
