and we're back!

I have been away from the blogging world for awhile. December was a crazy/busy/fun time for our little family. Madelyn became very ill at the beginning of December. She is just now making a lot of progress in terms of her cough. But we are so glad that she is better!

On December 22, Dan, Maddy and I went to Virginia to spend Christmas with the Vetters. We had a great Christmas vacation and are happy to be home. Here are some pictures from our trip...

After Maddy opened this present Christmas morning, she took it over to the stairs and began giving us her "cute" look. I love it when she does this.

Maddy was the only kid on Christmas morning. She was the center of attention and made out like a bandit. She also handed out all of the gifts and helped everyone unwrap them.

Dan and I were shepherds and Maddy was a little sheep when we acted out the Nativity story.

Dan and I were put in the stocks in Williamsburg. I must have been very bad because I apparently lost a leg as punishment too ;)

We went to Virginia beach several times. It was a lot of fun.

We went to the Virginia Aquarium.

Petting a string ray.

This was taken on our second Christmas morning. I think that this picture is soooo cute even though it is very blurry. Madelyn loved all of her gifts.

That will teach you to kick the mayor of the town.
It looks like you had a great time. I love Maddy's cute look.
