Maddy's Second Fourth of July!

We had a fun day today. The American military base held a fair. There were bumper cars, swings, a carousel, a kiddie car track, and a giant slide. Madelyn rode on every ride except for the swings. We went and cooled off in the pool and finished the night off with fireworks! A perfect day.

Thanks for the outfit Grandma & Grandpa Wells!

Riding the bumper cars with Dad.

The swings: the only ride Madelyn was not allowed on. She was very upset.

Playing on the carousel.

Racing on the Kiddie track.

Madelyn took me on a wild ride. She was the driver.

Climbing to the top of the slide.

Hanging out at the top.

Madelyn wasn't sure that she liked this ride.

A bird tried to be her friend. She was afraid of him.

"Hmm... what should we do next?"

Snuggle Mom!

This is what happens when you play too hard.

Later that night Madelyn was ready to enjoy some fireworks.

At first Madelyn didn't like the fireworks but then she became enthralled with them. She would say "Wow!" and point. So cute!

These pictures are so funny!! Only a parent will cram themselves into a tiny car/horse/etc for a short ride with their child! Hilarious!

The slide, however, looks like SO much fun! Happy Independence Day!

Maddy looks like she is getting a nice tan! I miss military base Independence Day celebrations. They were always so much fun for me when I was growing up.
