Let's RUN away!

I decided that I will train for a half marathon. Not run a half marathon, just train for one. Not my smartest move ever... but who knows, maybe I will become a runner one day (hmmm... maybe not).

A few very tough girls (and me-- I don't include myself in the category "tough", "soft" is more appropriate) went jogging at 6 am this morning. The first 15 minutes were okay--though every muscle in my body was screaming for a reprieve! My running partner and I sang "99 bottles of beer on the wall" just to keep our minds off of the pain. Near the end, we decided to sprint. Bad move! I began feeling like I was going to vomit and blackout, what a sight I would have been! so I had to walk the last 500 feet or so. Then I had to sit down and put my head between my knees just to keep from passing out.

However, I ran 2.6 miles! Hooray for me! Now, lets see if it gets better on Wednesday morning... lol.

You are one tough cookie, Heidi! Before long you'll be running circles around everyone! You have the long legs and slender body. I didn't see the the head between the knees, but I'm glad you didn't hurl in my presence. I have a weak stomach.....it could have been a really puky morning. :)

I am also glad that I didn't puke. I am sure that I got plenty of stares for the sitting down thing...

You can do it! As I have witnessed in the past, you can do anything you want to do.
