Since Laila has not been the best sleeper at night, I have been thoroughly exhausted during the day and unable to update my blog. I wouldn't even be updating my blog right now except for we have had so many things happen since I last posted that I fear I will get soooo behind if I don't post something now. So, I am forgoing my nap to appease my posterity. Here goes...
Laila and Maddy are getting cuter and cuter by the minute! Maddy loves baby "Yay-yah" and vice-versa. They love snuggling, watching TV together, playing with toys, etc.
Grandma and Grandpa Vetter came to visit. We decorated the house with our Christmas decorations, made sugar cookies, went Christmas shopping , etc. They even attended several of Dan's classes. Madelyn really, really enjoyed decorating the tree.
HBS threw a holiday party for the kids. There was a puppet show and happy meals for all of the kids. Madelyn couldn't tell if she liked the puppets.
Dan also turned 32! I can't believe that I have know him since he was 24! Time flies! Madelyn was sooo excited to make the cake, open presents, blow out the candles, eat the cake, etc. Luckily she has a sweet dad who let her take charge of his party.
We went to Holidazzle, a dance put on by HBS. We danced until I literally felt ill. We got home at 2 in the morning, I honestly thought I was going to die of exhaustion! I am too old for this! :)

So many things to comment on in this post!!
I'm sorry Laila isn't sleeping! How ironic is it that sleep is so vital to a mother's job?! I can deal with anything during the day, if I can just sleep at night, but somehow, a mother's job IS to be sleep deprived!
I LOVE the picture of Maddy and Dan putting ornaments on the tree. It's just one of those pictures that will always bring back fond memories and the feeling of Christmas, no matter how old the picture is.
You and Dan (but especially you) look so georgeous all dressed up and ready to go dancing!!
I agree with Audrey, you look gorgeous!!! How fun to go dancing till you drop. I'm with you on the bad sleeping babies.
