Update

Maddy and Sheldon are silly as ever!
My favorite part of this picture is that Madelyn is wearing Dan's shoes.

Over the past three weeks I have been taking a cake decorating class. It has been a blast. I am not that great but here is my first cake! So cute! I guess it all depends on the eye of the beholder, but since I made this cake I am bias.

This is what happens when a poor, sweet baby is befuddled by the constant flash of her overzealous, picture-taking mother.

She is growing up soooo fast! I can't believe that she fits in this and like to play with it!
Where is my baby?!

Every Tuesday we have craft time. I must say that Madelyn takes after her mother... she is a crafter! She will stay and craft long after the other kids lose interest. She loves it! Two weeks ago we decorated pumpkins.

The finished product! Stunning, isn't it?

We went to a Lookout farm a few weeks ago. It was absolutely enormous! There was a train that we had to take to get to different parts of the farm. Depending on the season, you can pick apples, pumpkins, pears, peaches, etc. We ended up with two pumpkins. There was also a kid area with slides, haystacks, a Caterpillar ride, animals, etc. We had a blast.

Madelyn wanted Nemo painted on her face. She stood really still and was so pleased.

We also went on a retreat to Maine with Dan's section. We stayed in a cabin on the lake. Dan was in charge on the food and he did a great job. Everyone in the section fawned over Madelyn and Laila. They were probably the most popular girls there.

Dan was on the yellow team for the section Olympics. They played fluffy bunny, twister, egg-toss, etc. Dan's team ended up bringing home the gold! Way to go honey!

Before the Olympics Dan took Madelyn out on a paddle boat. They went out to an island and explored. Madelyn brought me a leaf from the island. I love her! She is so sweet!

and what was Laila doing while they were out on the boat? Trying to keep warm!!!

Last night we carved our pumpkin, decorated our house, and ate roasted pumpkin seeds. I love Halloween, it is one of my favorite holidays!

Look at the determination! You go girl!

A success!

The aftermath...

The finished product!

Your girls are growing up to be so beautiful Heidi.

You and Dan do a nice job.
Crafts ever Tuesday? Cake decorating? Traveling for your husbands ambitions? You're a great mom.

Furthermore, Halloween is the best isn't it? I bet its fun when you have kids, but I still act like I am 6 so I really enjoy Halloween to it's fullest.
