The Little Parrot

Maddy is pretty funny. She tends to repeat everything I say. Whenever she does something naughty I ask her, "why did you do that Maddy?, don't hurt {insert name}" The other day I was brushing her hair and she said very seriously "Why you do that momma? don't hurt Maddy!"

Whenever I ask her to do something and she disobeys I say, "Momma says no!" Now, whenever she doesn't want something she says, "Maddy says no!"

Even with her sass I find her endearing. Here are some other cute things that she has said...

Whenever she falls behind while we are walking together she says (with much panic), "Wait! Maddeese lub you!" (Maddy loves you) Ah, my heart aches when she says that :)

Today Laila was crying and Maddy said, "Yay-ya don't cry, your a big girl!" You can tell what her daddy says to her every time she cries :)

Whens she wants me to come with her, "ma-mon momma! ma-mon!" (Come on momma!, come one!) This is said VERY forcefully!

On Wednesday Maddy woke up from her nap at 5:30 pm, needless to say she didn't go to bed until 9:30pm. I had girl's night that evening and decided to take Maddy.

Me: "Maddy gets to go with mommy to girls night!"
Maddy: "Yeah! girl's night!"
Me: "Go and grab some puzzles"
Maddy: "and blanky and milk..."
Me: "say bye-bye to daddy, tell him we are going to girl's night"
Maddy: (said with so much delight) "Bye-Bye daddy, going to girl's night!"
Me: (as we are walking to the elevator) "Maddy & mommy get to go to a very special girls night"
Maddy: (with tons of pride/excitement in her voice) "uh-huh!"
Me: (as we were walking to the girl's door) "Here it is!"
Maddy: "Yeah, girls night!"

It was soooooooo adorable to see how she was so excited to go to girl's night with mom. She packed up all of her favorite things and walked very proudly down the hall. She was so excited to be included and it MELTED my heart! She sat with all of the women and did her puzzle. She ate cookies with us. When we got home she told her daddy she got a cookie at girls night and that she had fun. The next morning when we passed the girl's door, she squealed with delight, "Girl's night momma! Girl's night!!" Having a girl's night with your daughter is THE BEST!!!!!

That is pretty cute with the girls night out. I've taken Ben with me to girls night, and I think he enjoyed charming the ladies ;)
