Last week we headed off to Virginia for the "Vetter Family Reunion." Dan's parents celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary and we blessed Laila. It was a lot of fun. Dan's brother Dave and his sisters Juli & Wendi (plus their families) were there, as well as his parents. We stayed on the Marriott Ranch in Hume, Virginia for the first two days and then we headed off to Oakton, Virginia for the rest of the week. We toured Ford's Theater and the home where Abraham Lincoln was taken after he was shot. We went to Fredricksburg where we toured a Civil War battlefield. We also went to the National Zoo, played at Six Flags, and attended a play at the Kennedy Center in downtown D.C.
Madelyn had a blast with her cousins every single day. She barely napped and was exhausted by the end of each day. As a child, I lived next to my cousins so I can relate to how Madelyn felt this week playing with all of her cousins.

Playing at the zoo...
Hanging out at Six Flags...
Madelyn didn't like any of the kiddy rides, as you can see. She was petrified!

This picture was taken almost 1 year ago to the day. Isn't that cool?
A butterfly landed on Madelyn's finger. I desperately grabbed for my camera to take a picture of it. Unfortunately it flew away, but luckily it landed on Wendi's hair.
Playing with the cousins.
