Madelyn started speaking in sentences this past week...
I was trying to clean out the closet and she kept shutting the doors. I would open them back up and finally in exasperation Madelyn said "Momma, I want shut that!"
During sacrament a baby started crying, Madelyn looked up at me very concerned and said,"Momma, baby crying."
"Daddy, I want da bebe (the binky)."
She has always been very good at repeating what I ask her to, so she has been able to say "where are you?" and "I love you" (her own version, of course), but this is the first time that she actually saw/felt something and initiated a "dialogue" about it. It is so exciting to see that little babies are actually humans that think and reason. This stage is sooo fun!

I agree, what a fun stage! Putting more than two words together is an important stage of development that they like to see around age two. She's very bright!
I also love this stage becuase you can say use your sords to tell me what you want don't just whine or scream about it.
