Every Sunday we make a big deal when Madelyn gets dressed for church. I put on her dress, tell her how pretty she is, and tell her to go show daddy. She immediately runs up to him and gets shy, smoothing out her dress, and waits for his gushing praise. Since this routine has been in place for awhile, Madelyn now refers to dresses as "pity" or "key-ute."
Today she saw me putting on some makeup. She is obsessed with anything I do and promptly wanted some "mee-cup" too. I put some blush on her face and told her she was "soooo pretty." She turned around, ran into her room, and shut the door. I continued with my morning routine for several minutes and asked Dan to go and check on her. He walked into her room and found that she had put one of her dresses (albeit, inside-out) on. She walked out of her room, very proud, and asked me ("ahh-ba-ba") to help her with the zipper.
I think that Maddy is officially entering the "dress-up days." I love this little stinker!

so much fun, one of the best parts of having a girl!
so fun!!! Until they figure out how to get into your makeup! Although it can be entertaining :) I finally gave Rose a plastic makeup kit with hair brush, lipstick, working hair dryer, etc...It has saved my makeup!
I love this! Dallin has been known to swipe my eye shadow and use it himself. So watch out!
