Marostica & Asiago

Maddy was very happy to be going to Marostica. Marostica is a medieval walled city.
Part of the walled city goes up onto a large hill, where the main castle is located. http://www.ciaoitaly.net/veneto/marostica

Maddy and I in front of the Medieval entrance to the walled city of Marostica.

There are two Churches right behind us. At the top of the picture you can see the castle on the hill.

A pretty villa.

Madelyn's first taste of authentic Gelato! Yummy.

This is a view of the barracks that surround the city.

Madelyn and I at the top of the hill.

A man was training a falcon at the castle. It flew right behind us. Maddy was very interested.

This is a view from the castle on the hill. You can see the walls that surround the city. You can also see the entrance to the city.

This is a picture of Asiago.

This is a church that is dedicated to St. Michael.

This is a very pretty mosaic inside the church. It is dazzling to look at.

This stained glass window reminds me of Beauty and the Beast! I just had to take a picture!

Maddy was very tired by the time we reached Asiago. She fell asleep about 15 minutes after we entered the town.

This is a beautiful arc in Asiago. Unfortunately, we have no information about it. I need to google it.

This is a second monument that we have no info about.

The country-side of Asiago.
